About Operation Life Vision
Operation Life Vision is a community of youth and mentors that functions as an extended family, filling the gap for children growing up in poverty in Oxford, Mississippi.
OLV enables the people of God to represent his love and care by providing tangibly for the needs of this community. By encircling this extended family with prayer and provision, we express our unity as the body of Christ, while echoing the way our Lord connected the hope of the gospel with care for practical needs of His people.
Our Ministry Model
Life-on-life discipleship
We build consistent, long-term relationships between youth and committed Christian mentors, offering daily examples of how to live, grow and mature in faith.
Modeling manhood in the image of Christ
Young men experience a vision of masculinity that’s strong, loving and rooted in Christ’s example—raising their own expectations for adulthood.
Modeling family through Christian community
A family-like culture helps youth feel safe, known and valued, while learning mutual care, respect and responsibility.
Upholding biblical morality
Loving boundaries protect youth from harm and offer freedom through the gospel, breaking cycles of behavior that damage families and futures.
Providing a safe physical space
A peaceful, supportive environment offers the stability youth need to belong, grow and just be kids.
Meeting practical daily needs
We care for the whole person—providing food, clothing and hygiene items in ways that preserve dignity and demonstrate love.

Shared travel and outdoor adventures expose youth to new places, building confidence and expanding their sense of possibility.

Hands-on work projects develop practical skills, confidence and a pathway to long-term self-sufficiency.

What We Believe
Operation Life Vision is an interdenominational Christian ministry. Our circle of support includes churches and followers of Jesus, irrespective of denomination, who share the foundational statements of faith reflected in the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed. Our shared values include a respect for scripture, dependency on prayer, and a commitment to representing the body of Christ.
